I've been noticing on WP lately that I seem to have two sides to my personality and especially when I drink coffee. On one hand, I'm the sweet old soldier that you all know and love. On the other hand I can be quite Modish and immature, especially under the influence of coffee.

No. You have two interests, but that's totally normal.

I have so many I can't even count, and my personality is known to fluctuate as a result.

Split personality isn't really a medical term in usage. There used to be the term "multiple personality disorder" that was used in psychiatry and which now is instead sometimes diagnosed as dissociative identity disorder, the criteria of which is similar but different to the former.

I think the user babybird has mentioned she has some kind of dissociative disorder. I don't know of anyone else on the forum who has disclosed this.

From what I have heard, what was called multiple personality disorder is an extremely rare diagnoses. Some psychiatrists believe the condition doesn't even exist.

This is true, also. It was always a controversial diagnosis.

Just joking. What Isabella said. Youre just person with different interest. Dont even "seem" to be a "split personality" on WP.

I agree with this. I researched multiple personality disorder a little YEARS ago & I don't think you fit it Sarge. I researched it because I thought I might of had a minor version of it because different people can describe me in very different & even opposite ways. I doubt I have that thou because some people who have conflicting opinions of me have known me in the same environment at the same time. I think my issue is that I do not conform to any stereotype & others don't know what to make of that so I can get figuratively tossed into very different boxes & camps. I think that could be related to having multiple interests as well, especially if the interests could be seen as conflicting.

No, I don't believe so.

At most you alternate between a few fixations and the one that's dominate at the moment influences you more than the others.

I've read all of your posts and agree with everything you all said. I do alternate between fixations. I don't have a split personality.

Interesting. I had a short PM conversation with AngelL, before they disappeared off of the site:

I couldn't quite figure out what was going on with them, but the conversation seemed rather strange.

Were there some misdeeds with them?

I've made myself tea instead of coffee. I feel more like myself.
