you may not agree.....but be aware of this.
i wouldnt want it to spill over into your non-wrong planet life without you beogn aware that it may be visible to some.

Okay. Being typically aspie in this respect, I can’t tell if you’re kidding or not. But just for fun, really, let’s assume you’re not.

“A lost soul looking for acceptance.”

I feel a lot of things, but “lost” is not one of them, and I feel extremely accepted here at WP. There are a few individuals here who put themselves up by putting others down. You might be one of them, but I tend to think you’re just kidding.

“Your threads do smack of desperation and creepiness.”

Well, I don’t feel desperate, and I tend to think creepy is in the eye of the beholder. When I was younger, a lot of women thought I was creepy. A lot didn’t. I did tend to stare a lot and not talk much. I don’t think anyone in my “non-wrong planet life” feels that way today.

What do you say we ask the membership what they think? Do I come across as a lost soul looking for acceptance in here? Do some of my threads do smack of desperation and creepiness? Is creepiness in the eye of the beholder? Stay tuned for the answers to these and other intriguing questions!

Jeez, I didn't mean "Do me."

:)

MrMark we seem to know a little about, donkey, we don't. So, who cares and what's this about? Are we going to have a sparring match? Winner gets free use of commas and the loser is restricted to periods or is it more involved than that?

I like you both. Play nice, please.

what's this about?

Well, I think it goes back to my interactions with bullies early in life. You remember those, I'm sure.

So early on, the donkey, or PaperBagHead as he's come to be affectionately known, decided I was a creep. He didn't bother to get to know or to inquire about my motivations, he knew. Fine, we all have our moments of shortsightedness and we're all entitled to our opinions. That wasn't what really ticked me off. What really got me was the way he said it. "You're a creep! Got it, Creep?" In my mind, this was a deliberate attempt to hurt me. Just like those bullies in the past. It wasn't enough to express an opinion; they had a need to try to make me feel bad about myself. I guess I've never forgiven them for that behavior. I still don't tolerate it. When I see people around here who can't limit themselves to attacking an idea and have to attack the person who had the idea, I step up, like those NTs never did when I was being bullied. I don't care if he thinks I'm a creep. I figure that the fact he holds that opinion says more about him than it does about me. But I'll never tolerate bullying behavior again, because I don't have to. I know who I am, and on this issue, mine is the only opinion that matters.

MrMark--I state before the board that I do not feel you come across as needy or desperatly seeking acceptance from or on wp. You are in my opinion a safe, comforting, and philosophically logical and intentionally balanced cyber friend, in a short time I've come to believe this, who selfishly would choose to step in as mentor and friend over basher and enemy. Am I pinning too much on you?

You have been listed in my mental Aspie as an object file under the title TEDDY BEAR.

I am fond of Donkey too and choose to not read in to far when I don't understand him, because I've concluded he like the weather has dark and sunny days.

But, this topic is scaring me--
And I'm going to go now.

MrMark

I think Donky was just joking, from what i've seen just about everthing Donky says is a joke (and in my opinyon genrely quite funny). I think Donky only teases you so much because he likes you.

Yeah, some people here have such severe mood swings, it's like dealing with two different people in the morning and the evening.

Yeah, there might be something to that. I suggested that he was just kidding, but he insisted that he was quite serious.

well cheer up and carry on. dust off your superman suit and move on. I personally think its rotten, having been the victim of others bs.

I dont know if you asked for it.
I dont think you deserved it.

I dont know if you shoulda reposted it.
I dont know if I should be replying to it.

I dont know if Donkey is feeling or should feel alienated.
But it was a pointed rotten thing for him to imply and very NT standard.

Could the attacks not be so volotile.
It reminds of me people trying to bury me in construction basement sites or stoning me becasue I was different. That kind of mean.

We joke and stuff. Some of us dont like each other and stuff. Some of us take 'pot' shots to express how we feel while maintaining conversation. some low is too low. trying to make others not like a person because you dont like them is pretty low.

I'm a hypocrite for reposting.

This one's gone strait thru to the keeper (or catcher for you non-cricketing types) so I'll carry on the other thread in this topic.

Cockneyrebel
1) 30ish hot chick.
2) AS - diagnosed
3) Likes to spend time in her "club" - I think is like a pub(?).
4) Never married, but someone has the hots for her.
5) Lives with parents but would rather not. They care about her but drive her nuts. Does lots of chores around the house. Has younger sister.
6) When she was born there was a crack in the time/space continuum. She was born in BC Canada c1975 but should have been born in London's East End c1955.
7) Has a (secret?) fantasy about shagging Austin Powers on the top level of a London Routemaster bus (something freudian about "routemaster".
8 ) Went into mourning when Routemasters were removed from service
9 ) Has British ancestry, but I think Scots rather than English, she would rather English than Scottish
10) never seen negative posts from her. One of the nicest people here.
