Harry Potter and the Goblet of fire.

The Hero's Guide to Saving Your Kingdom by Christopher Healy
I find it to be a very fun read. I sort of started 4 other books as well, but I'm going back for them later. Right now I want more of those klutzy princes!

I finished Winners and Losers, now I'm on p147, of The Lollipop Shoes by Joanne Harris. Basically, the predated version of Chocolat. So far I can relate, but the story need a breather before it can move on to where I hope it's going.
I'm glad I can intermingle with these long tales of autumn leaves before it makes an appearance for real.
Fiction is a way to escape from day to day drudgery and better than watching something like a rare artefact being exposed as in Monet's paintings, after years of being locked up in some foreign museum for centuries.

Reading book 5, in my boxed set of A song of Ice and Fire, better known as the t.v series game of thrones, I like the show a lot but I also enjoy reading the books as it fills in details the show has left out. There is a lot of internal dialogue among characters which would be hard to put in a t.v show.

Reading The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy to occupy time. It is absolutely hysterical.

I haven't read something in a really long time.

The Lollipop Shoes took me a while, maybe two weeks to read,(finished on fright night), got through it slowly & thoroughly, trying to piece together the workings of the Chocolaterie and the meanings of relation to the film, Chocolat.
All in all it was a strange book by Joanna Harris, but then again, the Millenium brought in loads of weird and wonderful things, which inspires authors to write fully and honestly about the many years that have past and what comes to pass.
So Vianne, has a daughter and a child and keeps moving around, due to superstitions and false names she carries around with her. One day she decides to open up shop, to tease people out of their religious escapades and beckon them in.
She is set up by a landlord which she has to inevitably like, and upsets things, this other woman fa disturbed past comes in to 'shopkeep'. All this goes on, while her eldest is growing up and takes to paying back tricks others have played on her, through magic, self inflicted and self-taught. The woman who steps in teaches her more magic,
her mother gets suspicious, her adopted father (to her) comes back, shakes up things even more, and ruffles up a few drunken feathers..
It passes on autumn and yule and ends on a bitter, but not dull note. The diaries of the stray woman who's
silently cursed and leaves with the wind, is strange but even more so that her name in the book is Zosie and in the film she mimics that of Josephine and the evasive husband/bar owner.
I found the characters not fitting for the book anyway but to add another plot onto a crazy twist of a story, made it less predictable and indulged in nightmarish tendencies which were less appealing to a grown woman.
