The thing that I hate about Dr. Phil is that when he does a show about people who have Nerological Disorders, he showcases the worst possible scenerios. Such examples are 15 Year Old Alex with AS, 6 Year Old Savahna with Prader Willi, and that Man with Tourettes Syndrome. I don't watch his show anymore, just becasue of the examples that I've just given.

Can someone elaborate on why you don't like his show. What was the issue with 15 year old with AS?

Jerry Springer's been on longer. So there. :P lol
Dr. Phil just comes acrossed a know-it-all pompus pain in the rearend. There's too many of those talk shows as it is. That's what the whole problem is.

He is not a medical doctor. Unless you teach a class an get off on students calling you
doctor Do Not Call Yourself a doctor when your not a doctor!! !! !! !! !

He part of the anti-rx drugs crowd. Then again he is not a doctor and can not proscribe drugs!! !! !

He is not an INFP "Healer" personality type that I would want in a therapist. He has
no empathy. Its about his own ego getting stroked.

All joking aside Jerry Springer truily is a more empathic person.

He's pretty big and fat and studios are warm, so of course he sweats a lot.

He has a pusher and go-getter approach, that I really dislike. When I see people like him, I think its a virtue the way most people in my country behave, humble and unobtrousive.

And he's not a real doctor. Most "professors" in the US wouldn't be more than high school teachers by Swedish standards, by the way.

People seem to love him because he gives the cop out, easy answers.

Mind you I think I hate it even more when it seems that it works.

I hate it that he only presents extreme behaviours of things like aspergers, so anyone who only saw his show on the subject would be really frightened of someone with aspergers, or schizophrenia or bi-polar or borderline personality disorder (whatever that is) or going through a divorce, or addicted to something (anything).

Like you won't be able to admit you need some help because people will think of the Dr Phil extreme.

Extremely stupid and frustrating and annoying.

Also extremely lucrative for him.

Is Dr. Phil's drawl really that strong, or does he put it on for his show?

Well he is from Texas. I am to so it seems normal to me. Its natural to notice such
things but do not read alot into him being from Texas.

He seems to know everything, and his son married a playboy model.
