Has anyone ever been to a rave, i want to go someday

Well, i really think id like to go to a rave someday, sometime after i get my license during the summer. i wont do ecstasy, but i love techno music and all of the lights and loud beats that shake the ground and the all the different types of people just seem so magical to me, i have mild As so i can deal with being surrounded by a large crowd of people, but i would be too caught up in the music and lights to care about all the other people, id just dance my heart out as if theres no tomorrow, has anyone ever been to a rave, if so, what was it like for you?

I have been to quite a few, and dancing and the lights are fantastic. Sometimes a bit too loud, but usually pretty darn fun.

Unless you plan on dancing the entire time, which I don't advise from a "You'll fall over dead" standpoint, there is a quite a bit of socialising to be done, which actually can be fun too because people tend to be more accepting and understanding there.

It's lots of fun and I say do it, but always be safe and make sure to drink water when you need it, and if you see those shirtless buff guys that are at every rave(seriously, every rave has at least 10 steroid ragin' dudes there), avoid them, they're annoying. >.<

Yes. I actually like raves, clubs, concerts. Just wear earplugs, and go crazy. I love the very surreal / detached mood they put me in. Until I start to go crazy from all the people.

I've been to a few festivals that were basically 3 day long raves in the middle of the woods. They were pretty fun if I could sneak in some alone time to wind down. I like to bounce around until my legs are sore while the lights and the groove take me away. I never forget my earplugs.

I wouldn't go to a rave and not be rolling the entire time I gota have something to make me wanna dance.

Don't leave your bottle of water unattended though, and always keep the lid on (drink spiking).

I've been in psytrance tents as festivals, and I have to say it is the best experience ever. Find the right rave with the right atmosphere, and you never want to leave. The music blasting, the strobes flashing and UV lights, the tingles up your spine when your favourite tunes come on, its like heaven to me. I went to my first festival/rave at the age of 13 and I've been in love ever since.

Find a rave, and go! You won't be disappointed!

I choose not to do drugs during raves. But if you ever even consider it, make sure you know what it is and exactly what it does. Be careful, drink water and stay hydrated. The more responsible you are, the more it helps the scene.

I'd never go, I'm not a fan at all of those things.. it's just idiot teenagers doing drugs, I wouldn't find it fun.

With that being said friends have told me you're easily noticed at a rave if you aren't high.

Thanks guys for all your help , i really appreciate it because im talking my mom into letting me go and all your info was really useful, since im trying to get to know as much about a rave as possible before i go, so when i go ill be able to stay safe, be responsible, and have fun, and my mom will also know ill be staying safe and having fun, thanks guys

I only want to go so I can buy some LSD. Apparently you can only buy it at raves.
