that's my favourite bike but it's not my newest. I just have fonder memories of it.

What an appealing pic. You're fortunate to live and bike in such a place; far too hot and dry here. though I am envious in a good way, this pic made my morning.

it is the rank/billet insignia for a Canadian [Armed] Forces Chief Warrant Officer [roughly equivalent to a u.s. army sergeant-major]. I long have liked the way it looked. my family isn't fancy enough for any kind of crest, and even if it were it is so fragmented that large parts of it would just be holes in the shield.
