^ Are the colors real? One wouldn't expect the hues change that much over a relatively short distance, especially if the picture is from Cambodia or Laos.

Burma, apparently - but yes; I think it's been over-Photoshopped for effect.
Or, it's an HDR image: the whole tonal range looks a little artificial for what a camera would normally capture.
