Hello all! I'm back!
Just spent a week in Tenerife in the Canary Islands, an archipelago that is an integral part of Spain. Had a very cheap holiday there: half-board, flights and a large hire car (including petrol) for £651 (€762; US$1,017). Good hotel and surprisingly good and cloud-free weather too. Took tons of photos whilst I was in there also - more than 2,000 for a one-week trip and managed to bring back nearly €100 of spending money back with us.
A bit tired now so I'm going to get a quick pizza.
* The phrase in the title means "the fat pirate". I was called pirata, a Spanish term of abuse for the English, by a local whilst I was there in a place called a 'cultural centre' of the island, La Laguna mere minutes after seeing a huge bit of anti-racist graffiti on a wall! Cultural centre my hole, it was a dump. Rest of the holiday was great though.
