Yeah today it was raining all day and when I went outside I found the strangest thing: a perfectly smooth heart-shaped rock on the ground. Here is a picture I took of it:

What are the chances of finding something this cool in your backyard? :D

I think maybe it belonged to somebody who lived in our house before us. Our house is fairly old and was built around the 1940's so there's not telling what was left behind by the people who lived here before us, it could have be burried in the dirt for years and the rain finally washed it out where I could see it.

Anyways it's going in my little box of weird doodads that I have collected over the years. I don't think I've ever just found something this cool on the ground before, except maybe the time I found a real arrowhead (which I sadly lost).

That's a very nice looking rock. It could be a sign of good things to come. :)

Or maybe it was left by a ghost who is haunting my house as we speak? 8O

It would be so cool if my house really was haunted, I've always wanted to see a ghost. :P

I guess maybe it could be a sort of "good luck charm", because I found it in my own yard. I have a feeling it must be kind of old because there's no telling how long it's been left in our backyard.

Does that ghost or spirit look like Mick Avory, by any chance? Or perhaps an oversized version of Ray Davies?

How would I know if I've never seen a real ghost before? :P I was just entertaining myself with the notion that the heart stone was left by a ghost in my house for me to find, I wasn't really being serious.

Hey but now I can honestly say I have a heart of stone.

doesn't even look like a heart. It looks like a woman's well-formed buttocks.

Well this stone obviously wasn't naturally formed, it has to be man-made because of the smoothness and shape. I think it must have been a garden decoration that belonged to somebody who lived in our house before us and it got left in their back yard where over time it was burried with dirt, but I think the storm yesterday kind of washed the dirt up and that's how I was able to find it. I also found a red marble in the back yard (which isn't as interesting as a heart rock but I still have it :P ).

It might have even belonged to my grandparents, this was actually their house and after my grandmother died my grandfather gave the house to my Mom to live in so she could help take care of him (he has Alzhiemers). My grandmother used to have a big garden in the backyard so it could have been one of her decorations that got left in the ground. :)
