Why on earth did you choose your avatar?

i've seen some avatars that confuse me and i wonder:"Why on earth did they pick that?" So why did you pick yours? Mine's just so crazy that i had to have it.

I actually replied to this question, off-topic, on the "next person" thread.

David Tennant (the guy in my avatar) is a Scottish-born actor who plays the latest Doctor from Doctor Who. I change avatars regularly, usually from "Final Fantasy" or "Doctor Who".

I like tigers, and it's small. Mostly it was a case of "yeah that'll do" - it doesn't matter much. I don't understand why people change avatars?

People change their Avatars because they get bored of the other one, kinda like obsessions. I've settled on mine because A) I made it myself and B) It's based on the WP alien sitting on the logo. Put a fair bit of work into that one!

I LOVE your avatar.....Isnt it a character from FLCL?I love to watch the smoke rise from her cig.....

I picked mine because I am lame at anything to do with computers and cant seem to figure out how to make my own,even though people have given me specific instructions....I want one of my cat humping my arm...he is so cute....

I'll explain.

Mine is a mocked-up flag based on the British Blue Ensign. The top-left is of course the Union Flag. In the right of the image is the red rose of Lancashire (the county in which I live) surmounted by the Queen's crown. Not bad, eh? A bit colonial perhaps but can't be helped. ;)

I did have a variation of this on here before but took it down when I realised the rose was upside down!
