What is the best base? Present the case if you can. I like ten. Obviously I know nothing else and couldnt really start to think in a different base, but I would try if someone could present a reason that a different one was better. I think base 10 is interesting as a composite of odd and even, and being even itself but a composite of odds. 5 is 2 & 3 and 10 is 5 twice. I couldnt defend what Im saying but it seems important somehow intuitively. A base which is even, and composite of evens (8 & 12) just doesnt seem quite right. There seems to be something useful about 10 being more representative of odd and even. Numbers like 8 and 12 seem too even.
As you may have gathered i have an interest in mathematics but not much experience. So dont think Im trying to present myself as with any proficiency. The farthest i studied in math was pre-calculus in 10th grade which i really enjoyed and got good grades in all year. the next two years of high school I tried calculus and statistics respectively, which i didnt jive with, which i blame somewhat on the teachers. Not to not take responsibility its not anyones fault, but i didnt know about autism at that point so i didn't really understand my strength and weakness at all to know how to work with them.
Right now i've decided i want to memorize pi to the feynman point. Which i have committed to do either way but i cant help but think how subjective the expression in base ten might be

so this is a call to the math gurus. what are the cases for the bases? i know there cant be any universals (that we know of) but there could be a better fit for reasons. Or even the case that no base is in any way more or less useful than any other. I just dont know where to start. Well i did start with wikipedia, but it just mentioned a few other bases that have been used, but it didn't really satisfy me

The cases for the bases are graceless faces that place my vases on braces and break them with maces from space. I can say with a straight face that it's a complete disgrace, a misplaced embrace that needs to be erased.

That the bassist of every great group is always the first to pass away.
