That is going to be my New Years resolution. To quit smoking. Again. Except this time, I'll do it without Welbutrin, because I can't afford the doctor or the prescription.

Anybody want to join me? Misery loves company you know!

Well don't start! They say it's harder to get off of than heroin!

I've quit several times. Usually with Welbutrin, once with Xanax and the patch. This time, I'm doing it without anything.

If you want, find another habit you want to quit and quit that while I quit smoking and we can do it together. But we have to tell each other if we cheat and break our resolution. We have to encourage and support each other to not do it. Wanna?

You could even resolve to do something while I'm resolving to not do something. Maybe you want to exercise every day, or start eating more healthy foods, etc?

I read somewhere that nicotine can repair stress induced cognitive dysfunction. I'm not a smoker but if it feels good then I don't see why people should give it up unless they feel better being a non smoker than an active one. It always irks me when I see cigarette packets that have the 'smoking kills' label on them. Why not label alcohol with the same warnings?

I want to give it up because it causes cancer, which runs in my family. I also have a horrible cough from it and doing any walking or exercise makes me very short of breath. I feel much better after I quit smoking. Also, cigarettes are over $4 a pack now. I smoke 2 packs a day. That's a lot.
