But the real purpose of this thread is this little proposal I have:

As others have noted, several other people have been asking if whether certain celebs could have AS or not. I'd like to put this to the test.

Let's try to find a way to get 10 famous people (Because the poll system here only takes 10 things,) and run a poll to see who is most likely to have AS. We'll obviously have to narrow the choices down to 10 later, but we'll deal with it when the bridge needs to be crossed.

Alternatively, maybe Alex can put in a new forum section for threads that deal with "Does * have Asperger's." Just a thought. Comments?

I used to be very suspicious of Barney until I watched the whole show (from the beginning). Barney is not a predatory or ret*d adult playing with children. He is a toy that is brought to life through the children's collective imagination. There are other PBS fantasy shows that use that kind of vehicle (Dragontales, Elmo's World). I still don't like the show, for various reasons, but I no longer worry that it teaches bad habits. (trusting clownish adults, groupthink)

Barney the dinosaur is to social and friendly to have Asperger's. But then maybe he's one of those overly-friendly Asperger's types.
