I like to carry my purse with me. It has all my stuff in it. As for bags that other people carry, especially guys, I think messenger bags, small backpacks, laptop bags etc are all fine, but never ever ever a fanny pack. I think fanny packs are the absolute worst things ever and I cringe every time I see one on someone.

I always take my kindle and iPhone, as well as mouth spray and tissues. I'm not sure if I need the mouth spray since I always floss, brush my teeth and clean my tongue before leaving the house, but I'm paranoid about bad breath. Taking mouth spray before I go into a shop or doctor's office somehow improves my self-confidence. Besides, I like the taste :D

Tissues are a must. If I realize that I don't have any on me, my nose starts to itch. They also help me over panic attacks. When I start to hyperventilate, I blow my nose, which forces me to exhale. Weird, I know, but it works for me.

What do I have to have? I have to have my purse, iPhone, keys, wallet, pills, pen, chapstick, tissues and possibly a book.

When I'm heading to work, I bring myself:

- tissues
- home-prepared food
- small bottle of water
- giant bag
- ipod + working earphones
- mobile phone
- wallet
- bus-pass
- backpack

I also do the 3 tap touch every time I leave my home/work or step off the bus (out of paranoia).

I always bring my iPod w/headphones, my phone and my wallet. That's really all I need when I'm on the train.

Wallet
Keys
Cell Phone
Cigarrettes
Lighter

Done.

I used to bring all kinds of "stuff" with me everywhere I went. 99% of the time I never used any of it (at least in recent years). I feel much freer not bogging myself down with crap I don't need.

One other benefit I've discovered by doing this is that I tend to interact with people more than I used to without all the baggage to hide behind. Doing so more I've gotten better at it.

Managed to get a older stainless steel pill holder, put two 5mg doses of Valium inside, and 4 200mg ibuprofen. Considering adding one vicidin. Attached to keys.
