Do you spend less then the typical person your age?

Yes I do, given that I'm comparing to other people who are also attending a post-secondary institution. Because I have no social life, I tend to spend less. I never go to the movies, I never go on amusement rides, and I do not drink alcohol. I do hate cooking at home and eat out a lot though, but I think I still spend less overall since lots of people my age go out to eat as well (only they eat with a bunch of friends while I munch at the fast food alone). However, I don't happen to have a job and so I guess my parents can be thankful that I have no social life and I don't spend that much. Man, if I had a job, even part-time, I might have money left over and save it to fund my education.

I think that aspies overall spend less money am I right?

Much less. I don't usually notice it until I'm living with NT's. Then it's just shocking.

Not just the going out thing either. They'll spend 10 bucks on a 'home cooked' meal and throw away the leftovers, then justify that it's cheeper than eating out. This seemed insane to me until I found out that their version of 'eating out' didn't just involve 'grabbing three cheeseburgers from McDonalds'...

Yes. I only buy what I can afford. I have no credit card debt like everyone else seems to.

I can't even remember the last thing that I bought. It must have been a year ago at least.

I have a feeling that I need to be a little bit better with money and have more saved.
But I probably spend less. I did by £50 bottle of perfume today though.

I never go shopping for clothes at least until my clothes get torn somewhere.

I probably spend less than I should. I am no great shakes in the kitchen, but I make most of my own food. My own bread. Even my own curry pastes. Though, ask me to make a cake and I'll run off in a panic. Can't do sweet things. Which is odd, because I have a sweet tooth.

I can't remember when my last major purchase was. Probably around Christmas. I like Armagnac (you can keep Cognac) and I think I went a little mad - £100-£120 on a bottle of Bas Armagnac which was 'on offer'. God, it was good though. It got me through Christmas Day, so it was worth every penny.

I have money from Christmas and b-day, but I`m saving it for my 2nd Billy Idol concert. Yes I said concert lol. He`s worth it! I won`t go to any other concerts though. But yeah I have over $200 saved up! What am I gonna spend it on though? I don`t have a social life either.

I spend less than other people my age seem to. Even buying a book is a major purchase to me, I was at the bookstore yesterday for over and hour and finally decided I couldn't part with $15 for a book (though I think I will probably talk myself into it by the end of the weekend).
