This is a sword I made in Woodwork at the end of this school year! It's a sword in, yup, you guessed it, my story, made to actual size! And no, the real version is not made from wood, this is just a mock-up. A CD is provided in one of the pics for scale.

Now, can anyone guess what the sword is called?

My sword knowledge sucks as well! It's main advantage is the momentum. My friend Jeremy, who has experience with swinging swords around, says it's a nice sword to use, because of the cross-bar and how you can pin someone to a wall with the tip for interrogation.

I've also found that the flat of the blade at the top is great for smacking people over the head with. :P

It has a variety of names.

small combat blade

Anchor blade: cause of the the fact that it looks like an anchor.

Boarding blade, used by first boarders, to take down enemy and clear out area for next set of boarders.

grapling blade, it can be used to throw to latch on to something or it can be used to kill someone if you throw it correctly.

it might be also considered a small axe.

Yeah, the original name this weapon was the Axe-sword, but I changed it to something else (and nobody's made an attempt to guess it yet). The other name it used to be was Butterfly Sword, but that name was already taken.

Small combat blade? Yes, it is a bit short. Grappling Blade? Yeah, it can be used for disarming! Boarding Blade comes naturally, it's a heavyweight weapon.

However, I have no idea what an Anchor Blade looks like.
