Hi everyone, I was just wondering what your special interests are. Mine is Roman history.

The Abrahamic religions.

I have a degree in archaeology majoring in later Roman archaeology and Latin.

I have many that I feel makes my life worthwhile,
My main interests are as follows;

1. 4mm scale modelling.

2. My model railway project , still in the planning stage, a 8ft x 4ft layout with a scrapyard theme.

3. Railways in general- modern image , in the UK.

4. Studying maps, comparing old & new maps, searching of disused rail routes & then maybe following them.

5. Urban exploration, dis-used railway tunnels, etc, mostly local, but often I'll travel a little further out, Manchester being my next planned destination.

6. Canals, cycling or walking along canal towpaths, researching their heritage, photgraphing canals as to modelling them.

7. I've an interest in woodwork, so I've built some of my own furniture to a high standard thats specifically suited for my requirements.

I have many varied interests. It depends on the time which interest is dominant. I have short term interests and longer term ones.

Some of my past ones and current ones include:
History....I am studying paleontology at university but i am also interested in human history so i have a degree in archaeology also. I have shifting interests depending on what i deem interesting at a particular stage. Currently i am really loving the evolution of Giraffa camelopardalis and Okapia Johnstoni.
Trains
Public transport routes in my city and timetables. I have made some revisions which have been actually implimented into the routes officially.
Baking/ Cooking
Microsoft Office Suite (I could use Excel all day just making and revising tables and be a very happy chicken)
Gaming
Transgenderism
Disasters
External architectural styles. (for some reason the internal parts of buildings don't interest me much). I especially love paving.

MotoScooby, I dont know your location ,but if you're in the UK, are you aware of the Roman history of Manchester ? ,
- as I seen clips on you-tube about a discovery / area / artefacts etc of Roman occupation under the soil & foundations of manchester,
But I dare say you already know about this if you reside in the UK, & just thought I'd mention it all the same .

- theology (especially soteriology and atonement theology)
- history (especially English history, and even more specifically at the moment 11th century)
- name meanings

Math and science. Especially discrete math, formal systems, algorithms, neuropsychology, chemistry, and basic physics.

I may be getting into music theory and guitar.

I want music in general to be a special interest, but I'm not putting enough work into it.

Animal behavior.

Social interactions and cultural differences.

I'm insecure about my special interests because there are so many people with graduate-level knowledge of these things and I may never be a specialist in any of them, especially if they change.

My main interest would be environmentalism. Another history and royalty among others.
