Hi everyone, I'm a new user, mid 20s, and, as my nickname suggests, I'm about to get my college major in psychology (february)....that's funny for an aspie...it' s very useful indeed, it gave me a lot of insight. My favourite topics? Social and personality psychology...that makes very sense !
I love videogames, books (McSweeney's in particular), the simpsons & six feet under.
Aspie score: 152
NT score: 44
Since I'm from italy (unfortunately, life is harder for aspies in the land of the pope & latin lovers...) you will have to forgive my poor english :?

Bye !

Its not such a crazy idea for an aspie to study pshychology.

I've only recently found out i may have Asperger's and have wanted to do pshychology for years. Mainly to gain understanding.

Makes logical sense to me.

Practicing as a pshycologist working with patients may be a different matter.

Yeah, you are completely right. Even if at the time i wasn't aware of it, i definitely chose psychology cause i wanted to understand myself and why people act the way they do, i was lost. I DON'T want to deal with patients, i hope i can find a place in the field of psychometric tests, where you don't see real people, but just computers and numbers

Doozu yorishiku, Aspie_Psychologist-san!

My, it certainly is a pleasure to meet you. Please, sit down by the fireside and have a biscuit. They're fresh, and full of...

Arsenic. Hah! Did I get ya?

Oh, don't mind me, I'm just completely insane. But you're a psychologist, you should know all about this sort of thing! So, doctor, what's the analysis? Severe brain damage? Schizophrenia? Or just a bad day?
