I call my dorm at school and my room at home "Vampire Rooms".

My dorm at school has 2 large windows facing the street.
I never open the windows and curtains, but light still seeps in from the sides of the curtains.
That's actually perfect because don't need to turn on the lights before nightfall.
When it gets dark I only turn on my bedside lamp.

My room at home only has 1 window but it faces North East so I get a lot of sun.
I don't like that, so I've got blinds and dark coloured curtains over the blinds.
I close both and also the windows, and like my dorm I turn on the bedside lamp after dark.

I feel like a Vampire, but I like that.
I also never leave the house without applying sunscreen, even if it's not sunny.
Does anyone else like Vampire Rooms?

Sounds cool. Have you tried using only red light?

No, I wish! I have an infrared torch though. Doesn't destroy my night vision.

Now get drink containers shaped like blood bags and a skull with candles.

I'm Sun/Light sensitive, my room is also a "Vampire Room" :)
I like that dark and cozy atmosphere, it's totally relaxing for me.

You should be careful with a red light near your window ;)

I love the idea of a Vampire Room :)

Why?

Cleaners like to prop my door open and open all the curtains and wondows. Drives me nuts!

I'm very sensitive anyway, to light and heat and colours. That's why I keep myself in a dark warm cozy room.

I feel like a vampire because I sleep most the day and am awake all night because I work graveyard shift! I am more active and functional at night than in the day!

Bright light often hurts my eyes and causes me discomfort. My house has limited windows. The living room window faces north---so not problem. The family room on the other hand has a large picture window facing south---I usually leave the curtains drawn. My bedroom window faces south and captures afternoon and evening sun---so I have a piece of cardboard I use to block out the sunlight when I am sitting up in bed to read or use the computer.

Ever since I was a child, I recall bright lights hurting my eyes. But, I always found the soft glow of light through fabric type curtains to be comforting and cozy. Where I work, the morning sun glares straight to my desk---so I often turn my desk the other direction to avoid sun glares.

Sounds uncomfortable :/ It would drive me nuts if I had to face the sun like that. I was so glad when I had my summer job last summer because I worked in a lab and there were no windows :)

Cover your windows with aluminum foil. Just tape it over the inside and no light at all will get in. My kids have done that before. So have I when I was younger.

I like vampires, sometimes I like to piss on myself so my skin gets all sparkly so I look like a vampire.
