This is the result of another members comment. I thought it was a very good idea because instead of just being chance it's more likely a thing everyone has dealt with at least 1 time in their lives. The question of how you handled it and if you found it to majorly effect your life is a good one. Answer the poll then describe in 1 paragraph how acne has effected you an if you're afraid of getting it.

Luckily I never had bad acne. My brother and sister had it bad. So I never had real fear of it.

Fear? Not really. I'm over 40 and I still get acne. Scrubbing my face daily helps a lot.

I've never had it and I think I'm probably too old to get it now. I worry about wrinkles these days

Not really.

I have low acne, and I only go for the zits that stand out on my face.

At the moment, it's riddled with scabs. The scabs on my face will go....in the end.

You think Acne's bad, try having it with Eczema, then you will know what hell is like. The Eczema flares up so you use stuff for it, which in turn makes the Acne worse, try to sort that and the Eczema comes back, every couple of weeks your face gets so itchy you scratch until it bleeds, then it gets infected and it all starts over again.

What sick sadistic person thought puberty was a good idea?

I don't get acne anymore but I used to pretty bad. Washing my face and putting moisturizer on it helps a lot.

With me and a lot of others I've spoken to, Acne outbreak seems to have a relation to ejaculation frequency. When I can "keep myself at bay" the acne calms down.
However, this should not be considered as the number one reason. Elevated amounts of stress hormone plays a certain role as well.

I never had a problem with acne. When I was in my teens, I would wash my face morning and night with this weird sea-sand-based skin cleanser that my mother got from a European specialty store. Keeping the skin clean, apparently, is important.

I have acne and eczema and it's very unpleasant. Although the acne is more unsightly, the eczema is more uncomfortable. The more stressed out I am, the more outbreaks I have (acne AND eczema outbreaks seem linked to stress).
