Does anyone ever get shooting pains in their limbs, especially in their hands? If so, what circumstances is it usually in?

Yes, I get them, usually when I'm sitting still, like at the computer.

That's what I'm also experiencing, must be a circulatory thing.

:( Maybe it's something to do with posture. Do you have a good chair?

Yes I get them. It's called neuropathy and can be caused by diabetes, autoimmune illnesses, hypothyroidism, Lyme disease, injuries & even B-12 deficiencies. You should get it checked out by a doctor as sometimes it can turn into something very serious. If you can get a far infrared light that can be used to treat it, along with B12 & magnesium supplements. For really made cases there is meds like Lyrica that are said to be of help.

What have you been doing to cause that? Ice skating and turning too quickly?

Well if you are sitting lotus style or something but get the shooting pains when you get up THAT is normal. But when you aren't in some crazy position and you still get the pains it denotes bad circulation that can be caused by any number of health issues. There's even some medications that can cause it such as Flagyl. The most common reasons though are diabetic neuropathy, Raynauds Syndrome and hypothyroidism. Suspect hypothyroid when its only in the wrist and hands. Course they say there are 13 million Americans with hypothyroid that are undiagnosed, so an awful lot of people should suspect that.

It happens when I inhale deeply or stretch. I haven't had any physical activity that would do it.

I have shooting pain in my hands sometimes. It happens when I play guitar too much (more than 6 hours a day or very intense sessions). Half a year ago I had to put it down for a week because the pains were so intense. I feared that I may had developed Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Repetitive Strain Injury(RSI) or tendonitis. Luckily, it subsided so I am more carefull now. Always warming up and massaging my hands before long guitar sessions.

So this could be because of my blood glucos problems???? Bummer!! :(

My hypoglycemia tests came back inconclusive as they bodged the glucose tolerance test. Keep pestering them for another one as my glucose levels have a habit of going up and down.
