The best astronomers and mathematicians know better, the Fifth Age will end on December 23, 2013, the last day of the Mayan Long Count. They invented zero, no one has equaled their measure of time, and all the sub cycles, they developed most of the food crops. Still without equal in math and science, they built the tallest buildings in the west till the Sears Tower in 1936.

The Sumarians said the same long before, every 20,000 years or so Marduk comes from the void, the time line fit the last three waves of ice ages, and magnetic reversals? Mayans were the survivors in the tropic mountains, and they started the count, kept it, and became the greatest astronomers and mathematicians, it was the central cultural obsession, Time, Mathematics, Ritual, sound familiar.

Saw a programme about that yank astronomer Shoemaker. He co-found that comet which crashed into Jupiter. He also went around scaring people that we're doomed by giant asteroids. I don't think that was a proper sort of thing to do, considering within recorded history there's not been a collision. He spawned this whole hunt for the killer asteroid thing, and got so-called scientists worried that we're not prepared, and all that. Rubbish, pure and simple. Everyone knows the world ends when Russia invades Israel ! !

"1 in 45000 chance"

Nothing to worry about P: I also heard that mathematicians and astronomers already calculated that it will miss us by over 100,000 miles.

like most things in america, all the unwritten rules and such patriotism is overrated. i could be just as happy anywhere else in the world (exept muslim countrys) other than america. why dont i leave you ask? why do i have too? you dont need to be a patriot to live in this country, plus i'm not rich so i couldnt leave and start up somewhere else if i wanted to.

Or we could paint it a different color so it wouldn't burn as much in the atmosphere etc (I have heard that suggestion)
