Family History
how far back in ones family history would AS have been started being passed down??
next year i want to goto scottland, and trace back my family tree. i think it will be interesting to see where my family lived, what they did, etc. i also think it would be interesting to meet distant cuzzons and stuff. i am curious if some of them would have AS.
any1 here do this before?
also is any1 here from scottland? how strong r the clans? or do people there not really respect that stuff anymore?
For my family... we can trace most of our odd behaviour back to my grandfather. He had some strong genes. He also had 13 children!
There was one child that he had who could have had low functioning autism... there were so many diagnoses that we heard about- and no one knew for sure. That child would have been born somewhere about 1914 and we know how accurate they were with their medical records back then- especially in developing countries.
Anyway- from all we've heard, my grandfather was nothing short of genius and he always wore a suit and tie even when he was out doing farm work. He was also ambidextrous. He passed away long before I was even thought of- but it would have been amazing to meet him.
Have fun exploring your family history. It will be an amazing journey for you!
I hope you carry a video camera so that you can record bits and pieces of your journey in a video journal. It would be great to put that all together- just to have or to share with your family back home.
