Well, after finding that my version of PowerDVD comes with a Capture feature, I decided to have myself a Red Dwarf Avatar. Thing is, which one?! You all take your pic, no matter if you've seen or heard of Red Dwarf or not.

Do you have series V on DVD? Rimmer and Mr Flibble. Get a good screenshot of that.

The Cat one from the end (or is that the gninnigeb) of Backwards looks OK.

Here's a few suggestions for Red Dwarf screenshots for avatars:

*Epideme from Epideme
*One of the two Hollys
*The Inquisitor from The Inquisitor
*Mugshots of the High and Low crews from Demons and Angels
*Kryten as a human from D.N.A, as well as maybe the curry monster from that episode.
*Mugshots of the "Real" Red Dwarf crew from Back to Reality (like the Doyles, Duane Dibbley, or Jake Bullet)

(edit: happy now?)

I'll do that tomorrow! I have the entire series on DVD with the two Just the Shows sets.

Also, I think you should get rid of, or at least alter, the quote. hale_bopp gets irritated when scrolling through repeated images.

Should I get one of Lister kissing the Psiren too?

Either 1 of the Red Dwarf logos or Cat. :)

Wow, so many good ones to choose from. I have 3 of the seasons on DVD myself; I may have to do the same. The gunslinger version of the crew would be good, as would "Ace" Rimmer.

haha.. Cat in the backwards world would be funny (img 2 in your list - and I remember why he has that expression on his face) but i vote the 9th img in your list (the last one, because it looks cool)

LOL, Red Dwarf is the best of British science fiction comedy, composed of 8 (too short) seasons, and is one of my personal obsessions.

"Smoke me a kipper, I'll be back for breakfast" ~ Ace Rimmer

I'd go with either the one of Rimmer, or Lister painting the ship.

I love Red Dwarf. There's a scene in season 8 with Ace Rimmer, the Nazis, and a plastic alligator that's probably my favorite scene from any television comedy. I'm laughing just thinking about it. I also really like the intro from the first two seasons, mainly because I'm kind of obsessed with concept of solitude, which is why I think it would make a good avatar for these forums.

If you don't use it, can I have it?

Actually it's Lister, if you look closely!

And after watching the entire series, I know the alligator scene is in Season... *checks the box* 7. :D

Man you reply fast. Yeah, I know it's Lister, because Rimmer couldn't have done any actual painting. But my question still stands.
