Have you ever believed that you didn't really have Asperger's? As a kid, I would believe my parents were speaking nonsense and I wasn't really handicapped. I would get angry at them if they said that I had Aspergers.

I didn't know much about Asperger's or Autism in general when I was diagnosed. I was 5-6 years old at that time so what I thought it was didn't really make any sense. But it just... scared me. I remember myself crying my as* off when my parents told me about Asperger's, for some reason, and when I checked the Wikipedia article for it, I kept saying "This isn't me. I can socialise just fine. This just isn't it. They're lying. I'm fine. Yeah, I'm fine.". Ah and "That doctor smelt like eggs." because, well, he did.
I never told my classmates and demanded my parents to not to tell anyone in my school about it because I knew that my school was filled with bullies [Ah, my 2nd grade teacher was a bully. She got fired a year later.] and I just didn't want anyone to mock me. Then, of course, they didn't tease me 'cause I was an Aspie, they teased me because I was weird as hell. But I knew that I was also very, VERY awesome. And I regained my strength and confidence about 5 years later. And I showed those bullies who's the BOSS.
Now I'm saying "..Damn. I just love being an Aspie."

"Shirahoshi: "But if you're a pirate, Luffy... Then aren't you a bad person?"
Luffy: "... Hm? ... Mmmm... I dunno, that's up to you to decide."
Moo approves!
