In regards my siggy:

"Still Moofy after all these years"

Moofy is a cartoon character. . .

. . .When I was in an early grade, 3rd or 4th) as an art project; I created a multiple panel cartoon which I entitled "Moofy the Mooney" (not like the religion of Moon Sum Pork, that was years off).

Moofy was a tall gangly and sexless (NOTE: these parts are optional!) creature from somewhere else. Moof's head had a cabin repleat with stove pipe smoke growing from its noggin.

Moofy wandered across the page watching bits of average kidlike activities which remained for Moofy beyond understanding, and in which Moofy did not participate.

Moofy just wanted to go home, but had no idea where that home may be, or even if there was one.

I am still Moofy after all these years. AS = Moofyism.

Moof was on the wrong planet. Now I have come home. And thank Alex and all the Wrong Planeteers for its creation and maintenance.

Hi Nutbag,

I tracked this down after reading your message to me.

I am tall, but definetly not gangly or sexless

When I returned home for R n R, I could not believe how much tail my stories of being in Iraq got me :D

It was almost like I was Muffy bait.

Thanks for the answer

1. Thanx for having gone to Iraq!

2. Glad the trip has netted you some personal gain!

3. Glad too you aren't gangley or sexless

4. Those points are optional anyway!

I sometimes sing to myself "Still moofy after all these years..."
to the same tune as Paul Simons "Still Crazy After All These Years..."
The only cartoons I liked were "The Far Side" by Gary Larson,
L'il Abner by Al Capp. (Now I'm giving away my age.)
I thought "moofy" was an invented adjective.

That trip home was an R n R. I have been here for 20 months already. I figure I will be here as long as Bush is in office!

I've wanted to read Lil Abner ever since I saw it was an inspiration in WWII military and aviation.
