I knew of 2 elderflower trees, one in the park, the other on a road not far from it. I went to the road first but the tree didn't seem to be there any more. I remembered something about a friend seeing the council works department going along that road and very likely they'd removed it. I was fairly sure I'd be able to find the tree in the park.
I went into work looking for paper bags for collecting the elderflowers, which I found, one bag being good and large but the other being rather small and so not of much use. I also wanted some metal parts of some kind. I found an angle-type high speed centrifuge rotor with little screw-in disc-shaped things that were somehow attached to it where the holes for the centrifuge tubes were (which would be quite impossible in reality as there would have been nowhere for the screw holes to go), and I chopped one off with a pair of clippers that I normally used for electronics. I hadn't meant to cut through it, I was just trying the pincers for size or something, and now I couldn't put the little disc thing back. Fearing that somebody would find out what I'd done, I tried to rearrange the remaining disc things to make them symmetrical so that the rotor could be used again without going out of balance and nobody would notice the damage, but it was impossible, so I decided to put the disc thing into my pocket rather than leave it around, because that would make it more obvious what had happened. I remember chatting to a man I used to work with on my way out, while I was in the main laboratory, and not worrying about the fact that he could see the paper bags I was taking, because it was accepted practice for staff to take a few cheap consumables occasionally.
A female member of staff and I had to find out the name and a few details of a female hospital patient who was in a bed in a room. We were having a bit of trouble finding her name from the instrument display panels around her bed and the paperwork nearby, but we seemed to be making some headway. We were supposed to be reporting the information back to some supervising woman and we were already late and in some fear of the consequences of failure.
[I don't know the order in which I had those 3 sections of the dream, or whether it was actually all one dream or separate dreams, but I gather that we forget dreams fairly quickly after they've happened if we don't wake up immediately afterwards and recall them, and I recalled all the above in one go after I'd woken this morning, and that's the only time I remember waking and recalling anything, so I guess it was all one dream with several somewhat unrelated sections to it]
