Not sure but my outside male cat will bite me if I pet him wrong. Wrong being a subjective term he uses to bite me often.

My male cat doesn't bite or protest when I pick him up. I guess your cats are not neutered?

You mean the blood soaked camera after he bit me? Oh to the other poster my cat is
not neutered. I have an inside male cat that is not neutered either and he is rather nice.

A couple of my family friends had one male cat but he passed away. They have since gotten another male cat and he is very much alive and well.

I liked them both very much!

Gopher bit me, but it required a lot of provocation.

I am under the impression that all cats hate being picked up.

This is the cat I used to have. We got him from a shelter after our 17 yr old female moggy died. I called him Thomas and he was a maine coon. I adored him but had to leave him behind when my parents split. He didn't like being picked up but would sometimes leap onto my lap.

My boys love being picked up, especially my gray tabby, Paul. He is really loving. Peter will sometimes get scared at sudden noises or movements, but he is a very sweet cat. Prince, my big Siamese, will flop in my arms.

I once had an un-neutered male orange tabby cat that was very sweet. He let me pick him up and he never scratched or bit me even once. I don't know if this has anything to do with his disposition but he was small and thin for an adult male cat and could have easily been mistaken for a female at a distance.

Is he a norwegian forest cat? or a main coon? I would love to have a long haired cat like this with a ruff around his neck....

I think my cats (they're both males), although they are not very fond of being picked up, tolerate it...
