I've become a big fan of Chamomile tea, not because of the flavor (which I've grown to like), but because if you make it really, really strong, it's makes a very effective anti-anxiety medication, good for 4 - 6 hrs without any residual "stoned" feelings. You can buy it in gelcaps, but the tea seems to work faster. A therapist once told me four tea bags to a cup has about the same effect as a couple of Xanax, but I can't verify that, never having taken Xanax.

How strong does Chamomile tea have to be to have that effect? Do you use four tea bags as suggested by that therapist? Would you mind telling us how you prepare it? I actually hate the taste of Chamomile tea but if it has an anti-anxiety effect, I might be able to get used to it.

As for my favorite hot drink, I make no distinction between caf. and decaf. because caffeine doesn't affect me. I like Earl Grey and Japanese green tea best out of hot drinks. I believe they both have some caffeine. I actually drink much more coffee but I only drink iced coffee even in winter. Steamed/heated/warmed milk ruins the good espresso in my opinion.

I wish we could've selected more than one----my favorites are: Coffee, tea, & Hot Chocolate.

I'm also interested in how many teabags, for the Chamomile tea..... I don't think I'd need a "TWO Xanax" effect----I'd like a ONE Xanax effect.....

Tea. Hot chocolate is good too, but it's more like a dessert that you drink, and if I want cookies or other sweets I have it with unsweetened tea so my pancreas doesn't go into shock. Unless it's marshmallows. In fact it's a wonder I didn't develop insulin shock a long time ago, especially since I love those extra-big marshmallows they have now. :)

I would drink sinensis tea 14/7 if not for OZO Coffee. Their importer is Coda Coffees. They make a MEAN cappuccino, awesome coldbrew and except for spicy chai that's all I ever order.

I don't like the kind of drinks people like hot. I only drink water & soda & very occasionally beer & prefer them cold but I have no problems drinking them at room temp.
