What's up with Ferris' avatar, did he leave WP?

If Ferris has left, that is tragic. I saw the new avatar but did not realize it was a message. I am kind of slow in understanding those things.

It is a rotten time right now for mods. I imagine a mod would feel like it was a lot of work for nothing.

I hope he comes back, but I certainly understand where he is coming from.

I was wondering the same Ezra, Ferris has made a few posts with the new Avatar, so I hope it's not farewell.

Maybe he just needs a rest.

We need Ferris, he really lightens up the forum. And I mean that. I'm not doing that thing lots of people do on here, which is make out a person to be a saint, and coming out with saccharin crap like, "The world will be a far worse place without you in this forum blah blah blah".

SF told me in PM a while back he wasn't leaving.

I certainly don't ascribe saintly characteristics to Ferris.

He's sort of a "bloke" sort of guy. Who's pretty good in memes.

I mean to others who leave the forum, I'm not blaming the OPs, but the stuff people come out with that isn't even true of them...
