Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal are in the quarterfinals of the French Open!

Nadal will be playing either Kei Nishikori (would love to see THAT match) or Frenchman Benoit Paire.

Stefanos Tsistipas, one of the only young guys with anything on the ball lately (pun intended) is in the QFs as well. He is the only Greek (from Greece) to make the QFs since 1936. His father is Greek and his mother is Russian.

A Russian descent American, Sofia Kenin, defeated Serena Williams.

My favorite Russian player, Denis Istomin, is up two spots this week to 97 in the world. He plays for Uzbekistan.

Interesting -- there's apparently a major Google services outage going on at the moment, taking down gmail, youtube, snapchat, and other services in a number of countries. Hack attack? Squirrel chewing the wires?

I understand the mosquitoes in Florida are often mistaken for helicopters. And nobody goes there anymore because it's too crowded. Best if people stay away.
