When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.

I thought if I jumped through the tv screen I'd end up on the set!

also, my brother was better than me at games and stuff - and I thought that i'd be as good as him when I was his age (2 years older than me)

I thought that when you gave birth, the baby would burst out through the stomach.

I used to have those Disney books with read-along tapes. On the back, there was a photograph of some kids reading a book and sparkly stuff was coming out. I thought that it would happen to me. Sadly, it never did.

I thought there was no way, ever, that I would ever grow too old to play with my toys. I thought being an adult was exactly like being a kid, only your parents couldn't tell you what to do.

I also used to think that if you needed money, you just had to go get it from an ATM. Was I ever disappointed when I found out that you had to put it there first :)

When I was a kid, I thought I was going to be an archieologist. (No, seriously I did!)

I thought I could be whatever I wanted in life.

I thought I would do just as well or better then my parents

I thought I would have a wife and kids whenever I wanted without needing to put in work

I thought my friends would be with me forever

I thought I would never grow up

I though wtf you guys rebel against your mother country so you can be free only to massacre all the native people, so you can be free alone, only to enslave the races of Continental africa, so you can be free alone-sorta and they can be unfree, and you can get your rocks off on their women while you kick your feet up over their work for your murdering free alone-sorta profit, but if that wasn't bad enough you dont let your women vote but accept a woman statue from france in which you beg for more people to bring their hungry their tired thier sick and their destitute in order for them to be more aquainted with hungry, tired, sick, destitute (or dead) A LONG WAY FROM HOME. You write up and ammend this fancy form promising freedoms, freedom of liberty, religion, stuff like that. My religions were not free. They were chosen for me. Read the fine print eh? And you make big stinks about all sorts of bad people getting off the hook for their actions because somehow someone violated them. And that violater was you, us. Wernt they an us who violated the law? But that's different as cultural incompetence patty cake stories 2 wrongs don't make a right and wiggle your boney finger at me agiain. I thought wtf. You make laws. You say it is illegal to break them. Yet it is liberty to break them. I thought wtf. You tell people they are free to blow you up, murder you, eat your children if you like. Yes, it is your liberty to break the law. WTF. That's what I thought.
I was about 3rd grade.

When I was a kid, I thought the Atari computer had good graphics. Now the world knows how ancient I am!

I used to think that babies came out of the butthole (I watched a video of a live birth at about 7 years old, and that's what it looked like, before I had proper sex education)

Gazing into the Crystal Ball topic

I would have to wear pearls and weird dresses like Beaver Cleaver's mother June, when I grew up.

I would be an Audio Visual Technician (I wanted control of the Film Projector--a precursor of the video, DVD and Blu-ray players.)

If I worked at the school I would have to sleep there.

I would have to marry the boy next door.

I did not know there would be computers.

I did not know there would be ipods, cell phones, blackberries, CDs or palm pilots. I thought we would have shoe phones.

I thought there would be flying cars and we would colonize Mars by now. I also believed there would be time travel as well as advanced space travel to Pluto (which is now not even a planet.)

I did get my wish about my surname. I never had to change it! :D

When I was a kid I was suprised that "Peter Pan" was called "pan" because here where I live the word "pan" means lord or mister while Peter was a child so I wondered why they called a child "mister" while only adult men are addressed this way.

I thought that the only reason superman didn't come when I called is that he could look down and see there was no emergency and he was needed where there was one

I had little understanding of things like time and the size of the world
(as I never traveled)
I thought the only way that you couldn't have kids (or get married) was to be a priest-now I can just say-no kids
