I used to drink practically no soft drinks except Dr Pepper until they replaced the sugar with corn syrup.

With corn syrup, I drink Coke or Dr Pepper with no preference for one over the other if from a bottle. From a can, I prefer Coke.

I used to like Jones Soda but you can't get them around here any more.

I'm not sure if that is always the reason why products disappear. My favorite cheese and a couple of pizzas I couldn't get enough of did disappear after a while. The thing is though, in the stores where I bought them at least, they were sold out immediately, so they must have been well liked.

I think this happens a lot: a product goes out nation/world wide and is roundly rejected by the masses, but there are regional hubs where the product is actually successful. That being said the corporation doesn't care about a small region, it's not worth their time, so the product as whole just gets trashed. It's kind of sad actually because it's a silent way of forcing conformity to the majority.
I worked at WalMart & that's how they work. Stuff could be selling very well in our store but home-office would quit shipping it cuz it's not doing well nationwide.

Oh and another thing, I really don't like canned soda. I prefer drinking soda from bottles (glass when at all possible) because they don't have that nasty metallic flavor you get from cans. With that said, there are rare occasions where I can drink canned soda if there's no other option (unless it's canned Mountain Dew. That's just disgusting to me.).

Dr. Pepper is my favourite if I need caffiene.
If I don't want caffiene, I'll go for ginger ale, grape or strawberry and sometimes a 7UP/Sprite type drink.
I love A&W root beer, but only from the tap in the restaurants. The canned version gives me bad aftertastes.
I'll buy DADS root beer off the shelves IF I can find it (really scarse around here, usually turns up in small stores that carry that ICP pop called Faygo out of Detroit). FWIW, most WalMart cheap pop sold in my area is canned by Cott in Florida and contains aspartame even if not advertised as diet, so I have to carefully read contents if I buy any there.

I stopped drinking soda about a decade ago and switched to teas and fruit juices. It has helped me lose a lot of excess weight.

dr. zevia. i drink it occasionally. i'm not a big fan of soda and sugary soda freaks me out, so zevia (dr. zevia is the best) is a good treat for me sometimes. i've gotten used to carbonation and atypically sweet/salty flavors but they still freak me out and i find the zevia brand to be much more mild. especially with their new deletion of the caramel coloring, clear is a lot more palatable to me.

Preferably something fruity or root beer. I don't care for Pepsi.
