GM EMD and DD 2 stroke Diesels do not employ crankcase compression and so can (and do) have 1 pc cranks and recycling lubrication.

Eating it isn't poisonous unless you eat like 25 grams or so. However, it is a hallucinogen.

When overhauling an engine, only the valves (intake and exhaust) can be bead blasted. Every other part from the engine is steam blasted in the "dishwasher" or soda blasted.
When you soda blast the piston, you blast only the crown (top).
After you remove the crankcase and cylinders from the dishwasher, you must rinse all of the pieces very well, or the alkaline soap used will form a white deposit on them as they dry.
