What do you think about it when a couple says "we're pregnant"? It doesn't really make any sense, unless it's a lesbian couple and they're both pregnant.

I agree. Doesn't make sense. I'd be inclined to laugh if someone said that to me in real life. Especially if it's a man.

But I'm not like "It should be forbidden by law"... it just sounds rather humorous.

I'd prefer if they said, "We're expecting a baby!" That would make a lot more sense than, "We're pregnant!"

"We're pregnant" sounds pretty silly to me.
Unless the man is prepared to have crying fits, vomit every morning for three months, experience excruciating pain and squeeze something baby-sized out of a very small orifice, then fair enough.

I always found that expression very strange.

A lovely video showing two men experiencing labor pains:

Now that was interesting.

I read today that at this one hospital in China fathers-to-be can actually experience what it's like to give birth by receiving simulated labor-induced pain. At least one guy said he understands how hard it must be for mothers to go through that kind of pain, which often goes on for hours.

I can see sooo many many guys willingly wanting to try that instead of thinking how they have it made because they can't get pregnant and are sometimes even nasty and unsympathetic to the pregnant moms' needs. (Sarcasm)

It's pretty soppy and silly, but on the other hand there's a part of me that find it's kind of cute and endearing, that a man might want to say that, including himself in the pregnancy.

I've been involved with too many men who were so indifferent to me or our supposed relationship, that to know there are men out there who don't distance themselves but instead are eager to be a "we," that it's heartwarming to me.

I'd rather have a significant other who announces my pregnancy with a joyous "we" than a cold, saturnine creep whose mindset is "she's pregnant....and I might run away in the night..."

We're Pregnant doesn't make a lot of sense but I know what people mean when they say that so I don't really think much of it.

I know what it means, but it still annoys me because it doesn't really make any sense. "We're pregnant" implies that both people are pregnant. It MIGHT work if it's a lesbian couple, but a heterosexual couple? Did the guy get abducted by aliens and have an embryo implanted in him? :P

The man must be pregnant :D , LOL. We're expecting sounds much better unless the guy is getting bigger too.

What about "we drove to the store"? Both people didn't drive the car.

What about "pet parents"? Also, I have had strangers come up to me and have one sided conversations with my dog. Some even get offended when I talk to them. I even had one lady say to my dog " I wasn't talking to your daddy."

I'd find that annoying
