I swear I don't cuss. Hmm. Was that statement a contradiction?

It's unusual for my language to reach a PG-13 rating unless something really major has ticked me off. See? :)

Just before my diagnosis not only did I start being angry and nasty nearly all the time, but I starting swearing a lot and even would use the F word. When the staff at the home told my mother this she was was pretty shocked because she I hated swearing with a passion. It normally just does not come naturally to me.

I hate how people swear all the time. I know how it is, when people are young they think it makes them sound tough and grown-up. But it makes them really sound more immature. Then they grow up, and it becomes a bad habit. And they say "they're just words". But words can really affect how you feel. It's so bad now that I have to force myself to tolerate it to a point just so I won't go insane. I'm surprised I sometimes use more crude language now than I did as a teenager. Back them I couldn't even exclaim "Oh my god!" without feeling very dirty.

marcb0t's cussing matrix had been deleted!

I have not cussed in many many years. If I drop something on my foot, I yell out a howl of pain, but no cuss-cuss.

I don't even like saying OMG.

I do like eating BLT's. They are light and crispy sandwiches with the right blend of flavor. 8)

Isn't swearing & cussing the same thing?

nominally they are, I was just being facetious with some puns. :) btw, cussing is southern-speak for cursing, how they drop the Rs and such.

another good swear is "merde." the frenchies euphemistically refer to that word as "les cinq lettres" :)

Hell f*****g yeah I cuss! :P I actually avoided swearing around my parents until I was about 15-16 though, at which point my parents split up and my dad started swearing more often, so I joined in. He was a little shocked at first, but he got used to it.

Funnily enough, there were a few friends I hung around with often when I was 10-12 years old, and we'd often swap dirty jokes and whatnot. I became so comfortable with swearing around them, that one of them started complaining about it. Fun times.
