Longer days; sun higher in the sky. Bees (hundreds of them) in the p**** willow. Groundhogs. Crocuses, daffodils, purple sage, bluets, bloodroot flowers. Maple's red buds. Cherry, apple, & pear blossoms. Return of the hummingbirds, rose-breasted grosbeaks, an occasional indigo bunting. Mating & nesting.

On Saturday morning, I went out to an event when it was still dark, and drove home from work when it was still light. That was weird, but it was a good day.

I live in Atlanta, and one of the things I love about my city is how it's covered in trees. Right now the cherries and dogwoods and redbuds are all blooming everywhere around me, and it's wonderful! I haven't noticed the Bartlett pears in bloom yet, but I'm not actually sure if they haven't yet or if I'm just not around them as much this year. They're usually pretty early in spring too as I recall.
