Oooh, we're going to have a quarter with a bat on it next year.

Well this is certainly dramatic. Reminds me of the famous ancient Nefertiti bust.

This design was clearly intended as an echo of the gold eagle of the early 20th century:

Can't say I care much for this design. It's supposed to be a boat coming over the rapids (I think) but it looks more like an indeterminate object wedged onto some rocks. Due out in November.

^ The drawing is much clearer – I didn't even notice there was a person in the boat! A good example maybe of an artist skilled in one medium (drawing) whose talents didn't transfer to a different medium (die engraving).

New one-ounce palladium coin from the US Mint, with the classic Mercury Dime (Winged Liberty) obverse, and a new reverse. I always liked the Mercury Dimes, so it's nice to see the design reappear.

...and Palladium is actually more expensive than Gold which historically speaking is a bit unusual.

$1573.01/oz. vs. $1499.61/oz.

I don't use Instagram and you can't really embed anything from it, but the US Mint has a new Instagram page:

It would appear so...https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leif_Erikson_Day :nerdy: :D

(Btw, I can't see the 'Image' you linked to. All I see is the word "Image" in place of the actual image.)
