I collect Wheat Pennies because they are pretty old and made of real copper.

I also have an Indian Head Penny from 1900 which is very old. I bought it at a flea market for two dollars. I think if I ever get the chance to go back I should buy more.

Zowie. That must be some kind of attachment -- I can't imagine it could be carved.

Here's what an American Indian head penny looks like

Image

It's basically Lady Liberty wearing an Indian Headdress.

And here is what Wheat Pennies look like.

Have a look at his Instagram ( use this link if you don't have an account yourself https://web.stagram.com/romanbooteen )

Video of him carving it

I dunno how he added the mechanics - shrouded in mystery

I collect some.
I also am collecting a Wild West series
I have the prostpecter and gun fighter they just released the pony express I need to get.
I have few of the cub series(they bit pricey so got as gifts)
Most of the coins are legal tender but bullion. Which means the governments protect from fakes but they do happen are you in us?
I see you’re in uk
They do some nice designs too like queens beasts and landmark series
Here’s some

Most coins have the queens head on the back
Technically front.
They differ through
Some use her young others old
It’s a bit of a Disagreement in coin collecting as some USA people refuse to buy any coin with her on it and since most coins mints fall under the commonwealth most coins have her on it, some even hoping she’ll die :( cause then it’ll be someone else on it.
I don’t care I only want the design.
Canadian royal mint, Perth mint(Australia), royal mint(uk), New Zealand mint(private but mints commonwealth coins), German mint, Austria mint, China, USA, Ukraine are the national mints I know of
Notice how many are common wealth lol
Austria only makes one coin and it’s one of the only ones with a reeded edge
Image

Should mention while they have face value to be legal tender they are worthy quite bit more
Most are 1 oz silver which is valued at 14.35 usd.
So USA for example makes a $1 face value coin but it’s worthy $14.35
