On many forums including ours users create pointless counting thread?

This is not bad, but it should be rule that after reaching certain selected limit, at start of such counting thread (like 5000)
the thread is closed.

Yes too many, it should be some rules about it.
I'm not saying ban it but limit it.

Post count? I like some of the games threads but not really ones where you just plonk down the next number, suppose it could act as a soothing mechanism for some.

I have nothing against these games, even like it, but it is often the case that if someone comes to a fixed number, the play starts all over again.

And i see it on the top of my "View Your Posts" :(

I like words, so I go for wordy threads. Some people must like numbers, seeing them as things in themselves? (or possibly alive?) so like counting threads. I can't see any problems with this. Different fascinations for different aspies.

You know this probably going to be offensive but lol at the fact that there is almost an entire forum dedicated to counting on a forum for autistic people. I mean we totally didn't meet that stereotype (sarcasm).

I'd personally like an entire website devoted to industrial cowl enthusiasts.

There's a pylon appreciation society in Britain, which is almost my bag, but there's no spinning going on.

No reason to make rules about things that don't hurt anybody.

People do lots of things that don't make to other people, but... why try to limit that? It is a spectrum with a diversity of interests, after all.

In fact I am personally interested in seeing when the million thread gets to its goal.

I'm like counting threads, but i think it should be locked after it reach number that was selected at start.
