Loneliness is never fun. There's nothing positive about a lack of companionship.
I know this as well as anybody but I thought it would be fun to put a lighthearted spin such a harsh reality.

Finish the sentence:
You know you're lonely when...

I'll start.

*when you anthropomorphize inanimate objects (give them names, personalities, backgrounds, etc). I do this a lot. I also name my house plants and talk to them like they're human. My peace lily is Shirley

*constantly making up songs and parodies to already existing songs.

*make sock puppets, draw faces on paper plates, give them yarn for hair, play ventriloquist with them and make them your best friends.

I do all of this. I'll probably add some more later. Great, now everyone on WP is going to think I'm nuts. ( I probably am)

You know you're lonely when... You treat the Pokemon you raise as your children.

You know you're lonely when every computer in your house is running Arch Linux and everything actually works the way it should after updating.

You know you're lonely when...
You start having conversations with yourself and then laugh at the things that you're saying.

You know you're lonely when you watch your favourite shows and think of the characters as friends.

You know you're lonely when... You find yourself writing fanfiction about fictional couples/or shipping.

You know your lonely when you have an imaginary girlfriend/wife.

You know you're lonely when you invent imaginary friends, and speak to them. Out loud.

You know you're lonely when...
your computer has a name.

When my only friends are machines and animals..
I talk to them more than I do people.

when all my nearest are far away from me.

You know your lonely when you have a huge crush obsession with a celebrity. I've done this when I was single & I still have it really bad for her even thou I have a girlfriend now & am not lonely.

You know you're lonely when...
you ship yourself with fictional characters.

You see for the third day in a row what appears to be a living statue next to a bus stop. You saw her there at different times of the day, standing upright, with her full head of hair visible, tied into a ponytail and with the same metallic appearance as the rest of her body, her clothes and the book she holds open in her hands. There's no plaque or anything of the sort and she seems to be resting only on her cute, small feet, the right one at an angle. You've never gotten a clear view of her eyes—she's not wearing glasses, but the book does a remarkable job of getting in the way, helped by her downward gaze—and you wonder if she's actually living after all.

At night, all you can think is how much you wish to hug her.
