I love this. Jacques Loussier Trio does a slow jazzified version with just piano, percussion and stand up bass. I wish it was on YouTube.

How rare to encounter someone who knows (let alone likes) Erik Satie! I wish I could hear this Jacques Loussier Trio version you mention.

I think a number of people here do. I'm no classical music expert by any means. Here's the album of Satie by Jacques Loussier Trio.

You can listen to samples.
I also have a cd by him with twin Turkish pianists doing Bach and one of baroque favorites.

i like that one too but it is not my favorite. i do not know which is my favorite because i forgot. i have not listened to her in many years until recently.

i like this following song although the lyrics do not apply to me, but i like the structure of the melody, and i sort of wish i could understand the lyrics because i believe they are good, but i do not understand them.

this is a very well crafted melody indeed. the sound quality is not as good as it is on my own system because it has passed max headroom (amplitude distortion) and is slightly distorted, but it is the only original version i can find on youtube. (i can not post my own file because it would infringe copyrights)

I actually like Willow mostly because of the lyrics. Frankly I usually pay more attention to the music, or rather I think great lyrics won't save a bad song musically. Someone could write a song about roasting puppies and if I like the music then I'll like the song. The reason the lyrics interest me is I'm curious about unconditional devotion against one's own self interest, like Joe Buck for Ratso in Midnight Cowboy.

This is similar to what was heard in the Republic back in the 80's.

I have Zoe on in my headphones all day every day while in public. Helps keep me calm and collected amongst the chaos of crowds.
