Feels so long ago

2007 feels very recent but 1997 feels like hundreds of years ago.

I was 7 going on 8 years old in 97 and that was a very traumatic year for me because not only did Lady Diana leave us but my grandmother died also that year.

Does anyone agree with me about the difference between 97 and 2007?
