Some of you liked going back to the early 70's to the Progressive Rock band "Curved Air". The other big British genre of the time was glam rock which was a reaction against the hippie dressing down and authenticity of the preceding few years. It was gender bending, look at me, trashy, fashion and attitude. Musically it was a fun mixture of bubblegum, 50's rock and roll, and metal.

One of my all-time favourite bands.

Glad you posted Fox On The Run - that's a great song. My favourite Sweet number is Wig Wam Bam. The intro from the German presenter here is priceless:




There was a lot of tension and animosity in the band between lead singer Brian Connolly and the rest of the group, particularly Steve Priest (the guy in the feathery getup in the above clip). Connolly came to a very sad end:




There was an in-depth television documentary about his final months, which used to be on YouTube, but I've been unable to find it.

Very good band, and that bass player is the kind of role model that younger generations could do with nowadays.

I think they're a very good band. I'm tempted to by their music, now.

I like their music but I really like glam rock
