Anyone else pedometer fans? Do you enjoy walking? Do you multi task? What is your average? What is your record? Does it help with any issues?

My answers
I like Fitbit. I defiantly enjoy walking. I listen to stuff. My goal is 42,500 steps, but usually get more. My record is about 76,000. It relaxes me.

Walking's great. Due to my job I don't get as much as I'd like. Probably average around 8k/day. Highest days were over 20k. I don't generally multitask, just walk & see what's around me. I find it benefits physical & mental health.

Since November 2015 walked 55 miles a week

Do not like sports

Part of it is the social aspect

Part of it is going somewhere on purpose to burn more calories

But walking is a form of transportation

And does not involve anyone else

Unless they approach me

And you can walk more or less anywhere and anytime

I don't keep track of how far I walk, but I walk my dog for at least an hour a day. I have a Fitbit but haven't used it in a couple years. I play Pokemon Go :) But much of the time, that doesn't require much more attention from me than making sure my phone doesn't go to sleep. I think I will usually hatch a 2k egg in a day if I have one, so I walk at least that much per day. Otherwise, I just occupy myself with my own thoughts, usually about a story I'm writing or just going off into one of my imaginary worlds.

I walk every day. Thinking of walking less so I dont get tired of it. It makes me feel normal but if I just sit around I feel like crap and go crazy. I love walking in the park and through trails.

I like walking too. I've got a Google fitness tracker on my phone and I like to see how far I've walked and how long it took me and how many calories I burned. I never really look at the steps.

When I'm really stressed I just walk and walk and walk to unwind.

I like to take photos on my walks. I look for interesting things to photograph and then post them on Instagram when I get home.

You see some weird stuff on walks right.

It's weird with walks.
I always think I should be walking more, but I dread doing it, and thus put if off as long as possible, but then when I actually do it I remember that it's great and I should do it more often - but that doesn't seem to change anything. Immediately afterwards, I go right back to dreading it and putting it off. Wtf?
Should do more of it to get fit and get rid of this weight around the gut because it's driving me crazy. Walking is something you can do without any equipment, without sticking out and being stared at (people STARE at joggers as if they've never seen anyone jog before) is good exercise and doesn't put stress on your joints the way high impact sports do. Plus I know it's good for weight loss. Should do more of it! But I dread it, put it off as long as possible, etc.

I pace, pace, pace; it's the only reason I don't weigh 100 pounds more than I do! I love non-pacing walking too but can never find the time to do it.

Walking helps me think better and write better too.

I go walking sometimes but it depends on things like the weather, how busy I am & how I'm feeling. I walk to the bus station when going there & walk around at stores & things. I also sometimes go walking just for the sake of walking like yesterday & like I'm getting ready to do now but how much kind of varies. I never used a pedometer or a FitBit but my girlfriend has a FitBit & it's not that accurate. She can get in over 12 steps being on the toilet & it doesn't count when we're walking around stores for over an hour because she was holding a cart.

I enjoy taking a daily stroll somewhere. Around downtown. Around the neighborhood. Through the woods. Along the beach or river. Through the cemetery. Out on the island. Walking around a neighboring town. Walking over flaming hot coals that was a joke.

To the school and back 4 days a week.

In all seriousness, though, I do enjoy walking. It's a relaxing activity.

Wrist Pedometers can be very inaccurate.

I used to walk to lose weight & I walked to the gym, I used to walk 10-20 blocks & I exercise in my apartment, I loss 60 lbs. I should walk again, to build more muscles in my legs & arms, & to get stronger. I want to walk, but I got toooo much pain in my legs & my feet, my knees can hurt too.

Yeah, my mom has a wristband Fitbit, and she gets a ton of steps from pushing a shopping cart because of the vibration, and from clapping at scouting events and things. I have one that you clip on an article of clothing, like your shirt or pants. It's still not 100% accurate, but I don't get a bunch of steps I didn't take like my mom does. If I had a wrist one, it'd probably think I was some sort of marathon runner from all the hand stimming I do
