A battery for my T430 Thinkpad laptop arrived from Amazon yesterday.

I tried it out, and it seemed to be doing really well, only discharging to 72% in the first hour. Then, a few minutes later, the charge level plummeted to 2% and the machine cut out. It turns out that the battery only has a charging capacity of 1200 mWh, which is just 30% of what it should be.

I'm supposed to return it to the sender to get a refund, but the Royal Mail doesn't allow laptop batteries to be sent through the post. Not sure what to do here. Really annoyed about this....

Barb doesn't seem to get the concept of Thanksgiving. She doesn't seem to be thankful to have Dean and I as friends after Queen Bee Bonnie told her not to hang around the two of us.

People coughing at the grocery store. It wasn't normal coughing either, it sounded more like their bronchial tubes are shutting down. Why does an otherwise beautiful season like autumn have to be ruined by viruses running rampant?

I plan to get my flu shot by sometime near the end of this week. If I don't get sick first like I did last October.

Just been on a short bus ride. The driver seemed a bit deranged: he was ranting and raving about this and that, and shouting out his views on George Orwell's 1984 to the passengers. According to him, Orwell was really called 'Eric Evans', wrote the book in 1934 and got a bullet in his ear in the Spanish Civil War. I felt like correcting him, but maybe sensibly refrained from doing so. Glad I was only travelling for two stops....
