Does the TV turn off when the Clapper commercial comes on if someone has the Clapper for their TV?

I really don't know, but I'm sure it doesn't come back on when they clap again. :)

Interesting question. They probably tweak the sound for the commercial so that the commercial doesn't trigger it.

this belongs in the same category as "what is the sound of one hand clapping"?

Why would you need the clapper for the TV when you can just use the remote? Of course, remotes have a tendency to disappear just when you need them the most. Like when a really stupid commercial comes on.

a clapper function in a remote or tv set that instantly switched the station when some @$$hole pol came on the tv, would be a moneymaker.

I wish the TV would automatically turn off when that commercial comes on.
