There's a show on Channel 4 tonight at 10pm called Are You Autistic? that UK folk might be interested in. I'll be watching.

Thanks for the reminder, I have just phoned my Mum to record it for me.

I phoned my Dad to tell him to watch it but I bet he doesn't. Maybe after I've watched it, I should wrap it up and give it to him as part of his present on his next birthday. Who says I can't do subtle.

Yes, small town, rural area.
My Mum is a twenty min walk, and my Dad is less than 1 min. He was in a village about 3 miles away but two years ago he moved and he wasn't putting any effort into finding somewhere to buy and wasn't clear on requirements so in the end I picked the details of houses I liked and so he chose between them :D Not only are my bike and lawnmower in his garage, but his brown (garden rubbish) bin is near enough for us to share (you pay for this from the council, only I didn't so don't have one.) And if I don't feel well or need something heavy he gets me shopping with his :D I pick stuff up for him too and drop off meals when I cook, it's really convenient.

My Mum is out of the country about 7-8 months of the year, it gets confusing.

Do you have a nice long weekend off work and are you cooking a roast?
I imagine your weather is similar to mine and there isn't much else to do outdoors.

I’ve noticed that when there’s a west wind, most of the UK tends to have similar weather and temperatures, cooler in higher elevations.

I just can't wait for it to warm up and be gardening weather.
It is a bit too claggy out there at present.

I enjoy the musical aspect of Britain like all the British Invasion bands and performers of 60s.

Yesterday, today, and tomorrow, no work, yay! I've been concentrating on my writing, but, tonight I will go to my Mum's house to cook a roast for her, her husband, and my Dad, he he. And me of course.

Have you had any of your joints yet Temeraire?

What do you do for Easter in the US kraftie? are all the shops shut on Sunday?

CockneyRebel, I will play 'Sunny Afternoon' tomorrow to bring on the spring :flower: :flower: :flower:

Yes indeed, I had lamb and beef yesterday for a roast dinner.
Today I am having leftovers which means another beef dinner.

The cooked lamb has been mostly frozen - I still have pork and chicken to cook yet - I think I went a bit overboard.

Shouldn't you be having fish if you've gone overboard?

collective groan, sorry.

These guys thought it was hilarious.

Are we finally in spring?

These last 2 days have been sunny and it is certainly a breath of fresh air.

Anyone else making the most of this fine weather?

It's supposed to be nice at the weekend. I have to get my house ready for a rent inspection Mon morning, but I am hoping to get out to do some gardening (much better than cleaning) on Sunday, assuming the cleaning is all done.

I hate cleaning! I hate being inspected every six months! I hate people in my home!

I am doing my best not to get really anxious though. I will be so relieved when it's over.
