I used to be underweight and ate snack-a-jacks at a rate which was kind of unhealthy as I filled up on them.

They're delicious. Meant to just be 'diet' food though.

I just eat twice as many.

Yeah, I'm still horrified! It should be debated in the house of commons, they will sort it quickly, and efficiently...

What do UKers think of Sweeney Todd? Does Johnny Depp do a decent English accent? :chin:

Don't know as I am not a film watcher but there is a famous pie shop/restaurant near me called Sweeney & Todd. 40 years in my local town, feels like everyone who lives here has been and has their favourites. I used to eat pigeon pie there years ago.

I haven't seen it but I just watched a clip on you tube and accent sounds right. They've changed the story drastically

but then it was only short wasn't it? i remember my sister doing it (it's a play) at school. it looked good but it all

depends on whether they have mucked up the class system, they always get it wrong. I didn't see the pie shop in

the clip. TW1ZTY is there a pie shop?

Yup in the movie his partner in crime Mrs. Lovett runs a meat pie emporium and she helps him dispose of the bodies by chopping them into pies and selling them to unsuspecting customers who don't know what they are eating. :chef:

Since the movie was made by an American director I imagine that they did mess some things up about London's Victorian era. Just like how in Gone With the Wind they probably messed some things up about how Georgia really was during the Antebellum era. Many of the characters didn't even have accents. But that's Hollywood for you.

This is one of my favorite songs/scenes in Sweeney Todd. 8)

I quite like Mr Depp's interpretation of an English accent.

He was rather appealing in Chocolat and amusing in Pirates of the Caribbean.

Chasing headless horsemen and Jack the Ripper, along with his other roles has kept me entertained along the years.

I really like him too as an actor! :D He really gets into the characters he plays and brings them to life. A very talented character actor. 8)

And I really loved Helena Bonham Carter as Mrs. Lovett. Mrs. Lovett was my favorite character. :)

Also I woke at 7 which is like 6...

Yeah it was really nice :)

And obviously the bar maid just came up with it on the spot which makes it more special. Wasn't even on the menu.
