There are some here who speak and act as if they were born in the USA. I watched a TV program called ' The Undateables ' where people with physical or mental difficulties are matched by specialist agencies. There was a guy with aspergers who spoke with an american accent born here. It came from watching lots of US TV so he just picked it up.
It is a lovely show to watch and you can probably catch it on youtube.
